Bobby Cummings, CFP® , AIF®*, CPFA, CFBS
Bobby Cummings is the president of Cummings Wealth Management Group. He earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification, is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Designee as well as Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor. He has been in business since 1990. His focus is providing wealth advisory services to business owners and professionals. Bobby says, "We are committed to helping our clients make smart decisions about their wealth so that it can help them—and their loved ones—lead fulfilling lives." He created "The Beacon Experience™," which is a process that strives to positively impact our clients by tailoring the financial planning process to the individual needs of his clients.
In 2003, Bobby was recognized by the Charleston Regional Business Journal as one of the "Top 40 under 40"1 community business leaders. He is passionate about community service and specifically helping children. His personal fund-raisers have brought in more than $50,000 for various children's charities, such as Christmas Commandos, over the years. He has previously served as a board member for Communities in Schools, the Carolina Youth Development Center, and a past president of the Island Club on Sullivan's Island as well as treasurer for Friends of Sullivan's Island Elementary School, as a Merit Badge Counselor for Boy Scouts Troop 20, and as a Tribe Chief for Y-Princess.
On the weekends you might see Bobby out on the water with his family and friends surfing, fishing, or kayaking. He might also be found out hunting with his Boykin Spaniel, Teal. He lives on Sullivans Island with his wife, Kristin, and their children: Tanner, Keenan, and Banks. Bobby considers them to be his greatest accomplishment.

Brian Cummings, CFP®, ChFC®, AEP®
Brian Cummings, a Charleston native, has been in banking and financial services for over 18 years. He has extensive experience in consumer, commercial, and private banking. His most recent experiences prior to joining Cummings Wealth Management Group in 2019 were serving in financial advisor and private banking roles for regional and community banks. His educational background includes attaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, Chartered Financial Consultant™ and Accredited Estate Planner™ professional designations through course work at the College of Charleston as well as the American College for Financial Services. Brian also holds the Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, which is a Federal tax practitioner license issued by the IRS.
When not working, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife Mary, their family and friends.
Mary Chapman, CFP®
Director of Financial Planning Services
Mary comes to our team with a diverse background, strong interpersonal skills and she has been on our team for 9 years. Mary has 25 years experience working with global teams including GE, and BMW. You will most likely be interacting with Mary in your review meetings and as she works with Bobby to build and update your financial plan. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Practitioner. She has earned her Master of Science degree in Counseling and her Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management. Mary also holds her FINRA Series 7 and 66 securities registrations (held through Commonwealth Financial Network®).
She brings her passion of helping people, analytical skills, and diverse background to her role with us. She loves helping people make sense out of complexity and chart a path forward. She's passionate about transforming the complex into simple and accessible steps.
When not working on finances, you can find Mary, who is a cancer survivor, actively volunteering in our community. She specializes in the arts, crisis counseling, and adult education. Passionate about lifelong learning, she is always working on something. In the last 6 years she completed her yoga teacher certification, became a certified nutritional counselor, completed the Mt Pleasant police citizens academy, several triathlons, and most recently earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. Her next goal is to complete an Ironman.
Thomas Stack Sr., CPFA
Director of Participant Services
Tom is our Director of Participant Services.
Tom provides employee education and service to approximately 40 company sponsored retirement plans that I manage for businesses around the country and in Puerto Rico.
Tom is one of the new additions to our team. Tom got his MBA from the University of Baltimore and has spent 29 years working with company sponsored retirement plans. He is particularly passionate about providing participant education. Tom also has received his Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation.
As defined by the Strategic Coach Unique Ability® 2.0 discovery, his Unique Ability® is providing support in the complex world of retirement planning. He is an agent for positive change. He is excellent at empowering others to make more informed decisions by asking questions that help identify the factors that led to problems and learning from it.
You will most likely be interacting with Tom as he works to service your company retirement plan and supporting Cummings Wealth Management Group in helping your employees plan for their future.
Director of Growth & Client Relations
Leisa is dedicated to the onboarding of new clients and to exceeding the expectations of existing clients. With 25 years’ financial experience, servicing institutional clients and advising investment managers on performance calculation matters, Leisa brings proficiency in investment knowledge and client relationships to the benefit of our clients.
With responsibility for leading the effort to welcome clients into the Cummings Wealth Management family, Leisa directs the outreach initiative at Cummings Wealth Management Group, including client performance review formulation and growth strategy development.
Leisa is a past-president of the CFA Society of Seattle and a past board member at CFA South Carolina. She is a CFA Institute member and holds the CFA certificate in investment performance measurement. She earned MS and BS degrees from Florida International University.
Leisa has a son in high school and a daughter in college, and she resides on Daniel Island with her husband, Wes.
Director of Client Services
Erica is our Director of Client Services.
A graduate of the University of North Carolina-Wilmington’s Cameron School of Business, Erica has worked in financial services since 1999. Throughout her 22 years of being in financial services she has fulfilled several key roles in the industry including financial advisor, registered sales assistant, and operations associate for leading financial services firms in the industry.
You will most likely interact with Erica as she helps to guide you through the service transactions, ensure that they are correctly processed and answer any questions throughout the process.
She enjoys the client interaction and strives to make your experience a pleasant and enjoyable process.
Director of Operations
Barb is our Director of Operations and she is a relatively new addition to our team. She joined our team in 2020.
She brings with her 25 years experience working in operations and problem solving. Barb is often behind the scenes helping to manage the activities and workflow of our busy team of professionals. She also is our gift-ologist, manages our events, sponsorships, and awards, as well as all vendor relationships.

Tanya is our Director of First Impressions.
She has been with our team for 6 years and has 11 years of industry experience in client communication and service.

Jo is our Client Service Associate and has been with our team for 5 years.
Bobby met Jo about 20 years ago and was very impressed. He told her when her boss at the time retired, to please call him! Well, she did, and he hired her over the phone.
Jo has more than 30 years’ experience serving clients in our industry.
